Bought a gun online? Have it shipped to us. We check NJ compliance before it ships, so you don't pay for a gun you can't take home.
Buying from another seller
Transferring a gun to On Point
Select us at checkout
On the seller's website, choose On Point Shooting LLC (Swedesboro, NJ) from their FFL dealer list.
Not on the list?
Ask the seller's FFL to email us directly at mike@onpointshootingllc.com, or send us their FFL's email and we'll reach out. We handle it dealer-to-dealer.
We pre-check it
Before it ships, we confirm the firearm is NJ compliant, so you avoid restocking fees and return shipping.
Arrival alert
When it lands, we let you know. Stop in to start your paperwork.
NICS & pickup
Once your background check clears, you get a "ready for pickup" alert.
Buying from On Point
How you take possession
- Pick up at On Point Shooting (Woolwich Twp / Swedesboro, NJ), or
- Ship to an FFL in New Jersey or out of state. We never ship a firearm to a residence.
In-store pickup
Add $21 for the NICS/4473 transfer, plus applicable sales tax. You must complete the transfer in person and meet all NJ requirements (FID and, for handguns, a valid purchase permit).
Shipped orders
Your receiving dealer's FFL emails their license to mike@onpointshootingllc.com with your order number. We contact that FFL, confirm they'll accept the transfer, and confirm the item is legal in their state before the gun leaves our shop. If they decline, we cancel or hold the order.
Shipping cost
Customer pays shipping. Handguns ship 2-day air; long guns typically go ground. Oversized, multi-gun or special-service shipments may be billed the difference after boxing.
Out-of-state work (ship-ins): send us the complete firearm. Instead of an ID copy, include a sheet with your name, address, phone and email. Work is paid before return shipping, and your gun goes back by two-day air or ground depending on the firearm. Adult signature required for handguns. Need a consult first? Request one in the app and we'll call you.

Sales tax
Sales tax is collected on in-state and out-of-state orders as required.
Age
21+ for handguns. 18+ for long guns, subject to your state. You are responsible for knowing your state and local laws.

NJ compliance work
Making it NJ-compliant
Some firearms that are legal in other states have to be made compliant before they can go home in New Jersey. On Point makes those firearms compliant before they leave the building.
Common examples on rifles like an AR-15:
- Adjustable or collapsible stock
- Flash hider
- Bayonet lug
- Magazines over 10 rounds
Compliance fees
Parts are extra. Exact fees depend on the firearm.

Special orders
We can special order a firearm in the exact configuration you want, even if it isn't in the shop. Send us the UPC code of the gun you're looking at (it pins down the exact model and configuration) and we'll quote it.
In the On Point app
Message us in the app with the UPC code or a link to the gun.
On our website
Fill out the request form and put the UPC code in the details.
By phone or in person
Don't use computers or email? No problem. Call us at 1-877-307-6042 or stop by the shop, and we'll take care of it with you.
